The 34th Italian Workshop on Neural Networks (WIRN 2026) will be held at the SIREN Headquarters in the picturesque setting of Vietri sul Mare Amalfi Coast (IT), from June 9 to June 12, 2026 .

Organized by the Italian Society for Neural Networks (SIREN) since 1989, WIRN has established itself as a premier annual event for the neural network community, attracting researchers and practitioners from across the globe.

Prospective authors are invited to contribute with original, not published elsewhere, high quality papers in the topic areas listed below . Papers will be reviewed by the Program Committee and can be accepted for oral or poster presentation. Accepted contributions will be published in a Springer printed volume indexed by SCOPUS .

in addition to the regular conference sessions, we are pleased to host the following initiatives:

Keynote Speakers

Prof. Francesco Carlo Morabito (University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria)
Prof. Iadh Ounis (University of Glasgow)

Key Dates

  • Extendend Abstract Submission Deadline: March 25, 2026
  • Notification of Acceptance: April 25, 2026
  • Camera-ready Deadline: May 15, 2026
  • Workshop Dates: June 9-12, 2026

Submission Guidelines

Submissions are made via an extended abstract (the final paper must be uploaded to EasyChair by the day of the conference). Papers must be at least 15 pages long and should not exceed 20 pages. Acceptance will be based on the scientific quality of the abstract and on a FIFO basis.

Submission is through EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wirn2026

Springer Paper format is on Springer Guidelines

Important Note: To ensure a high-quality review process and effective event management, please be advised that this edition will accept no more than 100 submissions . We strongly encourage all authors to submit their work as early as possible.

Publication

Accepted papers will be published in the Springer book series Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies (indexed by Scopus and Web of Science).

Important Note: Springer strictly applies plagiarism detection tools to all submissions. Papers found to have significant overlap with previously published works may be rejected at any stage of the publication process. Selected WIRN 2026 papers will be invited to submit an extended version to selected Journal Special Issues.
